Pastures are growing a little too much

Two weeks ago we had a lot of rain and since then a lot of heat.  This has really given our pastures a boost, but unfortunately we are also dealing with alfalfa bloats again.  We lost a bred heifer last week, and now today one of our good bull calves, must of got selective eating habits...

Busy Week

We sorted, weighed and loaded the steers Monday morning, and the week has just gotten busier from there.  We were very happy with the way the steers weighed up, with the largest load averaging 1050 lbs.  Only 6 head were cut out so we were happy with that.  From there we have been cutting hay...
